invalid_request

The request was rejected before validation — usually a missing or malformed field.

What happened

Used for high-level shape checks: required headers absent, conflicting parameters, missing `confirm=true` on destructive ops. The error envelope's `param` field names the offending input when applicable.

How to recover

Read the error `message` and `param` fields. They name the specific input that needs fixing.
