This API key exceeded its sustained or burst request rate.

What happened

Default sustained rate is 100 req/sec per key, with bursts to 200 for ~10s. Bulk endpoints count as one request, not N. Rate state is exposed via the `X-RateLimit-Remaining` header.

How to recover

Honor the `Retry-After` response header (seconds). For sustained throughput beyond the limit, use bulk endpoints (`/contacts/batch`, `/contact_imports`) or contact support.
